Born in Istanbul in 1991, Attorney Associate Professor Dr. Caner TAŞATAN graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law in 2013.

In the same year, he started his master's degree in private law at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences and completed it in 2015 with his thesis titled “Medical Records.”

He began his PhD in private law at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences in 2015 and completed it in 2020 with his dissertation titled “Formation of the Contract.”

In 2024, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor of Civil Law with his habilitation thesis titled “The Right to Request Registration Based on Personal Nature (Turkish Civil Code Art. 716/1).”

He currently serves as a faculty member at Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Law, Department of Civil Law, and is registered with the Istanbul Bar Association.

He is also an officially registered mediator affiliated with the Mediation Department of the Ministry of Justice and an expert witness registered with the Istanbul Regional Board of Expert Witnesses.
